Petit Saucisson & Co –Terms and Conditions

Petit Saucisson & Co Terms And Conditions

    General Terms & Owner Responsibility

By booking an appointment with Petit Saucisson & Co Pet Spa, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
Owners are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding their pet's health, temperament, behaviour and grooming history. The welfare and safety of every animal in our care, as well as the safety of the groomer, is our priority.
We reserve the right to stop or refuse any service where continuing would compromise the welfare of the animal or the safety of the groomer

    Aggressive, Biting & Reactive Animals

Any known aggression MUST be disclosed before booking.
Owners must tell us if their pet has ever bitten, attempted to bite, snapped, growled, lunged or shown aggressive or unpredictable behaviour towards groomers, veterinary staff or other people.
This includes behaviour that may only occur when particular areas are handled, such as the face, ears, feet, nails or tail.
Failure to disclose a known history of aggression places the groomer at serious risk of injury and will not be tolerated.
If aggressive behaviour occurs during an appointment, the groom may be stopped immediately. Appropriate safety equipment may be used where safe and appropriate, but we will never force a pet through a groom where doing so creates an unacceptable risk.
Where an appointment has to be stopped because of aggression, the appointment remains chargeable, including where the behaviour was not disclosed beforehand.
Severe or repeated aggression may result in the pet being refused for future appointments.

    Matting & De-Matting Policy

Our standard Full Groom prices are based on a reasonably maintained and regularly brushed coat. De-matting is not included within the standard Full Groom price because it requires additional time, specialist equipment and additional wear on grooming tools.
Any matting discovered during the groom will be assessed by the groomer. Matting cannot always be seen from the surface of the coat and may only become apparent once the pet is thoroughly examined.
Where matting is severe or tight to the skin, clipping/shaving may be the safest and kindest option. We will always prioritise welfare over appearance.
Additional de-matting or shave-down charges will apply and will be discussed where possible before proceeding

    Fleas, Ticks & Parasites

Owners must disclose any known flea, tick or parasite infestation before bringing their pet into the salon.
If live fleas are discovered during an appointment, additional cleaning and treatment may be necessary to prevent contamination of the salon.
An additional charge may therefore be applied to cover flea treatment, cleaning and disinfection.
Ticks discovered during grooming will be brought to the owner's attention. Where appropriate and agreed, tick removal may be offered as an additional service

    Salon Soiling & Incontinence

Owners must inform us before the appointment of any known medical conditions, allergies, skin problems, infections, ear problems, lumps, bumps, wounds, recent surgery or injuries.
Please also disclose anything that may affect how your pet tolerates grooming, including pregnancy, recent illness, mobility problems or sensitivity to particular areas being handled.
Grooming can sometimes reveal previously unnoticed conditions underneath the coat. If we discover anything concerning, we will inform you; however, groomers cannot diagnose veterinary conditions and veterinary advice may be recommended

    Late Collection

Pets must be collected promptly at the agreed collection time.
Petit Saucisson & Co operates as a one-to-one grooming salon, and late collection can interfere with the next client's appointment and prevent us from maintaining a calm environment.
A £10 late collection/delay charge may be applied where collection is more than 15 minutes late without prior agreement.
Repeated late collection may result in future bookings being declined.

    Cancellations, Deposits & No-Shows

Appointments are reserved specifically for your pet. We therefore ask clients to provide as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or rearrange.
Deposits may be required to secure appointments and are subject to the cancellation terms stated at the time of booking.
Late cancellations and missed appointments may result in the deposit being retained and/or the appointment being charged.
Repeated cancellations or no-shows may require full payment in advance before another appointment can be booked

    Grooming Risks & Pet Welfare

Although every reasonable precaution is taken, grooming involves the use of clippers, scissors, dryers and other professional equipment around a moving animal.
Pets may move suddenly or react unexpectedly, particularly when frightened, elderly, matted, uncomfortable or unfamiliar with grooming.
We will always work carefully and prioritise your pet's welfare. If your pet becomes excessively distressed, aggressive, unwell or unsafe to continue grooming, we reserve the right to stop the groom at any stage.
Charges may still apply for the time and services already provided

    Matted Coat & Shave-Down Risks

Severe matting can hide skin irritation, sores, bruising, parasites, wounds and other conditions underneath the coat.
Removing tightly matted hair may also reveal redness or irritation that was already present beneath the matting.
Very tight matting increases the risk of accidental nicks because the skin can become pulled into or extremely close to the matted coat.
By authorising the removal of severe matting, the owner acknowledges these increased risks and understands that the shortest safe grooming method may be necessary

    Emergency Veterinary Treatment

If a pet becomes seriously unwell or is injured while in our care, we will make reasonable attempts to contact the owner or emergency contact immediately.
Where we reasonably believe urgent veterinary treatment is necessary to protect the animal's welfare and the owner cannot be reached, veterinary assistance may be sought.
The owner remains responsible for veterinary costs relating to pre-existing conditions, undisclosed medical or behavioural conditions, or circumstances outside the reasonable control of Petit Saucisson & Co Pet Spa.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so

    Consent & Acceptance

By making a booking and leaving your pet in the care of Petit Saucisson & Co Pet Spa, you confirm that the information you have provided about your pet is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You agree to disclose all known behavioural issues, previous biting or aggression, medical conditions and relevant grooming history before the appointment.
You understand that services may be modified or stopped where necessary for animal welfare or groomer safety and that additional charges may apply where additional time or work is required.
By proceeding with your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions
