Unlike clipping, hand stripping removes dead coat by hand, encouraging fresh coat growth, preserving rich coat colour, and maintaining the correct texture and appearance of the breed.

Hand stripping is ideal for breeds such as Border Terriers, Jack Russell Terriers, Cairn Terriers, Norfolk Terriers, Wire-Haired Dachshunds and other breeds.
