A microchip provides your pet with a permanent form of identification. If they are ever lost or separated from you, their microchip can be scanned and used to help reunite you.

Unlike a collar or ID tag, a microchip cannot simply fall off or be removed.

Microchipping is quick and can be carried out during a short standalone appointment or alongside your pet's grooming appointment.

In the UK, dogs must be microchipped and registered by 8 weeks of age.

In England, cats must be microchipped and registered by 20 weeks of age – including indoor cats.

Owners are responsible for ensuring that their contact information registered against their pet's microchip remains up to date.
