- Booking & Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all grooming appointments.
Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
The deposit will be deducted from the final grooming cost on the day of the appointment.
Deposits may be transferred to a new appointment if sufficient notice is given in accordance with our cancellation policy. - Cancellation Policy
We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Appointments cancelled with more than 48 hours' notice may transfer their deposit to a future booking.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will forfeit their deposit.
Failure to attend an appointment without notice (No Show) will result in the loss of the deposit and future bookings may require full payment in advance. - Late Arrivals
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled.
Late arrivals may still be charged the full grooming fee.
If we are unable to complete the groom due to late arrival, the deposit will be forfeited. - Matted Coats
The welfare of your pet is our priority.
Severely matted coats may require clipping short to prevent pain and discomfort.
Additional charges may apply for heavily matted coats due to the extra time, equipment wear, and handling required. If you are unsure prior to booking, please contact us prior to booking. Every care is taken, grooming matted coats can reveal pre-existing skin conditions, irritation, bruising, or sores hidden beneath the coat. Petit Saucisson & Co cannot be held responsible for these pre-existing conditions. - Health & Behaviour
Owners must disclose any health conditions, injuries, allergies, recent surgeries, or behavioural concerns before the appointment.
Aggressive or dangerous behaviour must be disclosed at the time of booking.
We reserve the right to refuse or stop a groom if it is unsafe for the pet or groomer to continue.
Full grooming charges may still apply if the appointment cannot be completed due to undisclosed behavioural issues - Fleas & Parasites
If fleas are found during the groom, treatment advice will be provided.
An additional cleaning fee of £20 may be applied to cover salon decontamination and equipment cleaning. - Veterinary Attention
In the event of an emergency, we will attempt to contact the owner immediately.
If veterinary treatment is required and the owner cannot be reached, Petit Saucisson & Co reserves the right to seek veterinary attention for the pet.
Any veterinary costs incurred will remain the responsibility of the owner. - Photography
We may take photographs and videos of your pet before, during, or after grooming.
These images may be used for marketing, social media, our website, and promotional materials unless you request otherwise. - Collection
Owners must collect their pet promptly at the agreed collection time.
Additional charges may apply for pets left beyond their collection time without prior arrangement. - Payment
Payment is due upon collection of your pet.
We accept cash and card payments . Ownership of services remains with Petit Saucisson & Co until payment has been received in full. - Liability
Whilst every care is taken, grooming involves the use of sharp equipment and animals may occasionally move unexpectedly.
Petit Saucisson & Co will not be held liable for minor nicks, scratches, clipper irritation, or stress-related reactions that may occur despite all reasonable care being taken.

Are there any hidden fees in your grooming services?
No hidden costs here! We pride ourselves on transparent pricing that includes everything your furry friend needs for a fabulous grooming session. If anything additional is necessary, we’ll make sure to inform you right away.
Can I drop off my pet early?
Absolutely! Just share your plans when you book, and we'll be prepared for some extra hugs before grooming begins.
What if my pet special grooming needs?
Every pet is unique, just like their grooming needs! Just let us know what’s up when you book and we will handle igt with the utmost care. We’re all about making your pet's experience gentle and relaxing.
What should I bring for my pet's grooming appointment?
- Dogs
Please bring your dog's collar or harness and lead.
If your dog is taking any medication, has health conditions, allergies, or special grooming requirements, please let us know in advance and bring any relevant information.
You're welcome to bring a favourite toy, blanket, or comfort item to help your dog feel relaxed during their visit. - Cats & Small Animals
All cats and small animals must arrive in a secure pet carrier.
The carrier should remain at the salon during your pet's appointment and be used again for safe transport home.
You may also bring a familiar blanket or comfort item to help reduce stress.
Our salon operates on a calm, one-to-one basis, and we do everything we can to ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their grooming experience. 🐾💕
How do I know which grooming package to choose?
We are e to help with any questions you might have! We're happy to discuss your pet's grooming and guide you in choosing the perfect package tailored just for them.
Do you use chemical products on my dog?
At Petit Saucisson & Co, we believe in good vibes and good grooming. We use high-quality products focused on your pet's health and happiness — no harsh chemicals here! Your furry friend's safety is our top priority.
What is your policy on handling difficult dogs?
At Petit Saucisson & Co, your pet's welfare always comes first. We specialise in calm, one-to-one grooming and use gentle, patient handling techniques to help pets feel safe and comfortable throughout their visit.
If your pet is nervous, anxious, elderly, or simply having an off day, we will work at their pace and take regular breaks where needed. We never force a pet through a grooming process that is causing excessive stress or distress.
For the safety of your pet and our groomer, if an animal becomes aggressive or cannot be safely handled, we may need to stop the groom and reschedule, recommend behavioural support, or suggest grooming under veterinary supervision if appropriate.
We kindly ask owners to inform us of any behavioural concerns, fears, or previous grooming difficulties when booking so we can provide the best possible care and tailor the appointment to your pet's individual needs.
What can I expect during the grooming appointment?
Together, we'll identify your grooming expectations, prepare a grooming card that lists your pet's s requirements, and arrange a suitable collection time after a brief consultation.
